No software configuration or pairing is needed during installation.
Requirements :
The mTouch operates over a Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection and requires:
- A Messana control system (mBox) already running on your local network.
- A PoE switch on the same network or, if you do not have one, a PoE injector placed between your network and the mTouch. With PoE, a single Ethernet cable carries both data and power, so no separate power supply is needed. In most home installations, a PoE injector is commonly used instead of a PoE switch.
Steps:
- Connect the cable. Plug the Ethernet cable into the back of the mTouch.
- Wait for discovery. When powered on, the mTouch displays a system selection screen and searches the network for Messana systems.
- Tap your system. Once it appears in the list, tap to connect.
Once connected, see How do I set up the mTouch? to configure operating mode, display settings, and visible zones.
Auto-Reconnect:
The mTouch remembers the last system you connected to. After a reboot, it reconnects automatically.
