How do I balance my manifold and what should my flow rate be?

Your manifold’s supply main has red caps along with flow meters marked with GPM numeric values.

There’s a plunger inside each flow meter that rises and falls depending on how many GPM you have flowing through you manifold and out to your panels.

To balance your manifold to the ideal flow rate of 0.5  for all loops, you must first pull the red caps either off entirely or just enough to unlock the flowmeter (about 1/4″). You may then thread it in or out to reach the desired flow rate of 0.5.

Once you’ve balanced all loops to 0.5 GPM, return the red caps to their original position.
