Absolutely, Ray Magic NK® hydronic radiant ceiling panels are suitable for new construction and retrofit applications.
In new construction, they are installed on the ceiling before drywall, following rough plumbing and electrical work.
In retrofits, the panels can be installed on the existing ceiling using furring channels or by removing the old ceiling drywall. This enables the addition of a radiant cooling and heating system to older homes without significant structural modifications.
Note
Choosing the ceiling over a radiant floor retrofit avoids floor adjustments that affect door heights, steps, and transitions. Additionally, it allows for more efficient integration of radiant cooling without compromising heating comfort.
