Can I install mSense in building materials other then sheetrock?

When it comes to installing mSense room comfort sensors, sheetrock is generally the easiest material to work with but it’s not your only option.

If you want to install a sensor in a wall with wood paneling, Messana offers a smooth sensor shroud (without threads) that would allow the installation to be possible. The same shroud could be used in a tiled bathroom.

The O-ring near the face of the sensor can be adjusted to allow up to a 1/2″ gap between the shroud and the sensor’s face giving you some adjustability in the event of a design change during construction.
