Here’s a peek inside the mechanical room that brings this Ripcord Engineering x Mid-Coast Energy Systems project to life!
This 7,000 sqft, three-story home located in South Bristol, Maine, is being outfitted with a sophisticated hydronic system driven by two geothermal heat pumps. Heating and cooling will be delivered through radiant ceilings, radiant floors, and Jaga Astrabeam hydronic fan coils across 11 zones—all seamlessly managed by Messana Controls. To further enhance comfort, a Zehnder ERV is integrated to maintain top-tier indoor air quality.
This 4,929 sqft home, designed by Integrated Design, includes 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a game room, and an office. A Ray Magic NK radiant ceiling system will provide heating and cooling throughout the home, and a Jaga Briza 22 fan coil will offer supplemental heating and cooling for the great room.
A look back at our recent Lunch N' Learn with Norelius Studio in LA! It was great discussing how hydronic systems can complement their thoughtful, sustainability-driven design approach.
