Another Ray Magic NK radiant ceiling system underway, this time in Santa Rosa, California!
This 4,929 sqft home, designed by Integrated Design, includes 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a game room, and an office. A Ray Magic NK radiant ceiling system will provide heating and cooling throughout the home, and a Jaga Briza 22 fan coil will offer supplemental heating and cooling for the great room.
With Messana Controls, the Briza 22 will also provide light dehumidification to help lower the indoor dew point and support the radiant cooling system. Since Messana Controls can modulate the fan coil’s 0-10 volt fan speed signal, we can operate the unit at only 20 to 30 percent fan speed while circulating very cold water through the hydronic coil. This approach enables dehumidification while avoiding drafts, excessive noise, and overcooling!
The mechanical system was designed by Monterey Energy Group and uses two Viessmann Vitocal air-to-water heat pumps to generate heated and chilled water for all seven zones. The entire system is managed via Messana White Series controls, including an mBox paired with an mZone 8 zoning module.
