A behind-the-scenes look at our latest project in Camden, Maine – a 7,900 sqft masterpiece!
The extraordinary home spans three levels and boasts 19 zones. It’s powered by two geothermal heat pumps, delivering hydronic heating and cooling through Ray Magic® NK radiant ceiling panels and Jaga hydronic fan coils (all managed via Messana Controls).
This home utilizes a four-pipe system with dedicated hot and cold water tanks, allowing for independent operation of the two macrozones for heating or cooling. Plus, we’ve integrated NTI boilers for reliable domestic hot water production and backup heating.
The home also features an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) for top-notch air quality. And for winter comfort, we’ve added two humidifiers, while a single dehumidifier keeps things comfortable during the summer.
Key components of this system include:
Installer: Mid-Coast Energy
Mechanical Engineer: Ripcord Engineering
This 4,929 sqft home, designed by Integrated Design, includes 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a game room, and an office. A Ray Magic NK radiant ceiling system will provide heating and cooling throughout the home, and a Jaga Briza 22 fan coil will offer supplemental heating and cooling for the great room.
A look back at our recent Lunch N' Learn with Norelius Studio in LA! It was great discussing how hydronic systems can complement their thoughtful, sustainability-driven design approach.
