Geothermal Hybrid System In South Bristol, Maine!

We recently had the chance to check out an exciting new Ripcord Engineering project in South Bristol, Maine!

This 7,000 sqft, three-story home is being outfitted with a complex hydronic HVAC system powered by two geothermal heat pumps. The system will deliver both heating and cooling through radiant ceilings, radiant floors, and Jaga Astrabeam hydronic fan coils across 11 zones. To further enhance comfort and indoor air quality, a Zehnder ERV is being seamlessly integrated and managed by Messana Controls.

Hydronic Ray Magic® radiant ceiling for radiant heating and radiant cooling. Radiant cooling made possible by mSense room comfort sensors and Messana Controls.
Jaga Astrabeam FCU installed and managed via Messana Controls.
Jaga Astrabeam recessed hydronic fan coil unit managed via Messana Controls.
