Complex Hydronic System In Charlotte, Vermont

We’re excited to share these photos from a recent system start-up we performed in Charlotte, Vermont! This 6,700 sqft residence prioritizes energy efficiency by utilizing two geothermal heat pumps to provide hydronic heating and cooling.

For the utmost comfort of its occupants, the home employs a sophisticated hydronic system. The Ray MagicĀ® radiant ceiling panels, a Jaga hydronic fan coil, and a radiant floor system in the basement work together to create and maintain a pleasant indoor environment. Additionally, the inclusion of two Messana Air Treatment Units (ATUs) ensures efficient dehumidification, supplemental cooling, and mechanical ventilation. The entire system is seamlessly managed via Messana Controls, simplifying controls and enhancing the overall functionality of the hydronic system.

Key components of this hydronic system include:
  • GeoSmart Energy PremiumHE geothermal heat pumps
  • Grundfos pumps
  • Belimo mixing valves
  • Amtrol Inc. expansion tank
  • Boiler Buddy buffer tank
