Designed with a focus on radiant cooling and heating applications, this powerful controller is the one-box solution you’ve been waiting for. With the capability to serve up to 10 zones, it acts as both the primary controller and zoning module, streamlining your climate management.
Crafted with precision and durability in mind, the mBox10 is assembled with industrial-grade components, making it an ideal choice for high-end residential and light commercial applications. It offers exceptional control over various hydronic distribution terminals, whether individually or in combination. These include ceiling panels, radiant floors, hydronic fan coils, and more. With advanced proprietary logic, it optimizes Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), manages humidity, and facilitates natural enthalpy ventilation.
Specifically tailored for 2-pipe hydronic systems, the mBox10 efficiently regulates energy flow from sources such as heat pumps, chillers, and boilers. This ensures optimal comfort in multi-zone systems, controlling buffer tank temperatures, executing intelligent heating and cooling changeovers based on real-time conditions, activating circulator pumps, and precisely managing radiant fluid temperature through a 3-way mixing valve.
In addition to radiant systems, it also expertly manages Messana Air Treatment Units (ATUs), ERV/HRV units, and uniquely employs smart technology for optimized control of Domestic Hot Water (DHW) systems.
Powered by an x86 architecture (Intel® Apollo Lake Celeron® J3455) and operating on the Linux OS (Debian), the mBox10 seamlessly integrates a programmable mControl I/O device created in collaboration with Emerson. This core of the Messana mControl platform functions as a web server, gateway, and communication module, offering effortless connection with the Messana web and mobile app (available on iOS and Android). Built upon over two decades of expertise in hydronic radiant cooling and heating technology, the mBox10 is the epitome of climate control technology.
For added convenience, the mBox10 can be complemented with an optional 10.1″ external wall-mounted touch panel (mDisplay), providing a reliable wired connection for offline use.
